Russ “Rusty” Cordua is a former Division I college basketball player, trainer, and high school coach (see Russ’s full bio here). After a number of years away from the game, Russ found himself drawn back in when he began training his own kids as they began their basketball journeys. As the years went by, Russ again found himself an enthusiast for the game and for those people who put their heart and soul into evolving the sport into the world-wide attraction it is today. As such, he founded Hoops Spotlight as a way to highlight players, coaches, and other contributors found in the DMV basketball world…and beyond.
